Migrate from draw.io to Capable Diagrams
To migrate from draw.io to Capable Diagrams, keep draw.io installed, open the Migration tab in your Capable app, tick draw.io Diagrams for Confluence and its three macros, verify, then start the migration. Each drawing is copied into a Capable diagram on the same page, with shapes, layers and tabs intact, and the macro is replaced.
#Before you start
You need to be a Confluence site administrator, with Capable for Confluence or Capable Diagrams installed.
Keep draw.io installed until you have checked the result. The migration reads its drawings.
For full version history with each version's original author, use migration behaviour version 1.1.0 or higher on the Options step.
#Steps
Open Confluence settings, find your Capable app and open the Migration tab.
On Introduction, tick the acknowledgements.
On Options, check the migration behaviour version and leave keep source macros off.
On Select apps, filter to one space for the first run, then tick draw.io Diagrams for Confluence.
On Select macros, tick draw.io Diagram, draw.io Board and Embed draw.io Diagrams (second pass).
Press Perform verification and read the failures.
Press Start migration, then Download log as soon as it finishes.
Open several migrated pages and check the diagrams.
#If it does not work
A clean dry run but failures for real: verification uses a stand-in drawing, so only the real run proves diagrams migrate. Read the failure hints in the log.
Diagrams are the wrong size: migrated diagrams start at a standard height. See Migrated diagrams are the wrong size.
A diagram name exists on several pages: Capable refuses to guess and names the candidate pages in the log.
