"Miro status unavailable" or "Could not check your Miro connection" - and no Connect button

What you are seeing

"Miro status unavailable" or "Could not check your Miro connection" - and no Connect button.

#Why it happens

The connection check itself failed (network or service problem). The app deliberately will not claim you are disconnected unless it knows you are.

#What to do

Retry in a moment. If it persists, it is an availability problem, not something to fix by reconnecting.

Starts the Miro authorisation in a new browser tab (OAuth providers block sign-in inside an iframe). The app then polls its own status every 2.5 seconds while the consent tab is open, and re-checks whenever you return to

#A few things that catch people out

  • When that read fails the import falls back to a per-site map and retries hourly, so an upgrading customer could in principle be asked to reconnect Miro.
