Connect Miro

Starts the Miro authorisation in a new browser tab (OAuth providers block sign-in inside an iframe). The app then polls its own status every 2.5 seconds while the consent tab is open, and re-checks whenever you return to

Disconnect

Deletes your stored Miro token on Capable's server. Board browsing, sharing and people sections stop working; boards already embedded on pages keep rendering.

Opens https://miro.com/app/dashboard/ in a new tab from the gallery's connection chip.

#A few things that catch people out

  • A Miro board will not render in a Confluence PDF or Word export, or on a statically published site - it is a live third-party frame and no export renderer exists.

  • Never remove or rename a stored macro parameter: unknown keys are stripped on save, so an undeclared parameter would be silently deleted from customer pages. Every field tolerates unexpected values so a legacy macro degrades to a working board rather than a blank one.
