Starts the Miro authorisation in a new browser tab (OAuth providers block sign-in inside an iframe). The app then polls its own status every 2.5 seconds while the consent tab is open, and re-checks whenever you return to

Disconnect

Deletes your stored Miro token on Capable's server. Board browsing, sharing and people sections stop working; boards already embedded on pages keep rendering.

Opens https://miro.com/app/dashboard/ in a new tab from the gallery's connection chip.

#A few things that catch people out

  • Whether you personally can change a board's sharing cannot be answered from Miro's API (it depends on a paid seat, and nothing distinguishes a member from a guest), so the app treats it as unknown and errs toward showing controls - though it no longer exposes any sharing change at all.

  • Miro's own error wording is shown as-is where Miro provides one. Only three cases have Capable wording: "Miro refused this request..." (403), "That board no longer exists..." (404) and "Miro is rate limiting us. Try again in a minute." (429).

  • A Miro board will not render in a Confluence PDF or Word export, or on a statically published site - it is a live third-party frame and no export renderer exists.
