Insert a Miro board on a page

Opens the full-screen "Configure Miro board" modal with a live preview beside the settings. Paste a board URL, or connect Miro and pick a board from the grid.

Embed a board by pasting a link

Paste a https://miro.com/app/board/..., /app/embed/... Or /app/live-embed/... Link. It converts into the macro and renders immediately, even before you open the configuration.

Connect your Miro account

Any Miro macro's configuration panel, or the

Opens Miro's consent screen in a new browser tab; go back to the Confluence tab and the status updates on its own. One Miro team per person. Not needed just to embed a board.

Change display mode or size

These appear only once a Board URL is set. Defaults are Free navigation, full width, 600px tall.

Check who can open an embedded board

Read-only, and shown only when you are connected and a board is selected. Change sharing and roles in Miro itself.

Switch Miro team, or disconnect

Switching re-authorises and replaces the single stored connection. If Miro skips the team chooser, sign out of Miro first. Disconnect deletes the stored token only - revoke the app in Miro t

Needs no Miro connection for the previews; board names need one. Logged-in users only.

Copy a board link to paste on a page

Right-click a gallery card, "Copy link"

There is no direct insert action - paste the copied link into the editor and it converts into the macro.

Miro Embed is licensed on the Atlassian Marketplace separately from the Capable Suite, at the standard tier.

#A few things worth knowing

  • Some tasks need an administrator. The Where column says so.

  • Anything relying on search needs the page to have been indexed first.

  • Macro names differ slightly between the standalone app and the suite.
