Space field
A Space field is specifically designed to collect a reference to one or more Confluence spaces.
#Overview
Space fields let users search for and pick spaces from the site, making them ideal when content, approvals, or actions need to be associated with a specific area of Confluence.

#Use cases
Typical use cases include:
Targeting a request or action at a specific space
Linking a document or form submission to its owning team space
Routing approvals based on the space the content lives in
Reporting on activity grouped by space
Selecting the destination for new content or templates
#Configuration
You have the following options available when using the space input macro:

Setting | Recommendation | Notes |
|---|---|---|
ID | Use a stable, meaningful internal identifier. | Avoid renaming once the field is used in filters, reports, or templates. |
Label | Use clear user-facing wording. | For example: Target space, Owning team space, or Destination. |
Required | Enable only when a space must be selected. | If enabled, the form cannot be submitted without at least one space selected. |
Multiple selection | Enable when more than one space can be chosen. | Use when content or approvals can span several spaces. Leave disabled when a single space is expected. |
