Step 4: Choose the fields on the card
The card is the attributes you choose, in the order you choose, and nothing else. There is no title, no workspace name and no heading, so if you want the record's own name on the card, put that attribute on it.
#Adding and ordering
Attributes you have not chosen sit under "Attributes not on the card".
Order matters and is yours to set: drag a row by its grip, or move it with the arrows.
The screen tells you what you have, for example "1 attribute. Drag it by the grip, or use the arrows."
#Checking it against a real record
The preview on this screen takes an email address and shows the values that would appear on the card, which is the quickest way to tell a well chosen attribute from an empty one.
The preview address really is sent to your CRM. Whatever address you type is sent to Attio so the real values can be shown. It is not cached. Use an address you are comfortable looking up.
#Pictures
Every row that could hold an image URL has an Image button on the right, which nominates that attribute as the record's picture. Attio has no image attribute type of its own, so a picture is always a text attribute holding a URL.
#A few things worth knowing
An attribute that Attio stops returning shows a message telling you to choose a different one in project settings, rather than silently disappearing.
An attribute type this version of the app does not recognise renders as a label with nothing beside it.
Values are remembered for fifteen minutes, so the preview is the fastest way to see a change you have just made in Attio.
