Show Attio customer details on a Jira issue
To show Attio customer details on a Jira issue, open the project's Attio settings, go to Placement, and switch on Issue panel, Activity tab, Issue sidebar or any mix of them. Save, and the card appears in those places on every issue in the project. Choosing a placement is the switch: with none on, the card shows nowhere, including for you.
#Before you start
You are a project administrator.
The project has a key, a record type, a matching attribute and at least one field. See Connect Attio to a Jira project.
Placement | Where it sits on the issue |
|---|---|
Issue panel | A full-width panel on the issue, above the activity area. |
Activity tab | A tab named Attio beside Comments and History. |
Issue sidebar | A collapsed Attio button in the right-hand column that the reader expands. |
#Steps
Open the project's Project settings, Apps, Attio.
Go to Placement.
Switch on one or more of Issue panel, Activity tab and Issue sidebar.
Select Save changes, or Finish setup if you are still in the wizard.
Open an issue in the project to check the card.
#What happens next
All three placements show the same card, which reflows to the width it is given. Values are remembered for up to fifteen minutes, but your own settings changes show straight away. Who sees the card is set separately on Permissions.
#If it does not work
Saved, but the card is not switched on yet: Jira refused the project update, usually because a site administrator has not approved the app's new permissions in Admin Hub.
An agent sees nothing: they may be outside the audience on Permissions. See One agent sees the card and another does not.
Nothing anywhere: see The Attio card never appears on an issue.
