Paste-to-embed (auto-convert)
Confluence hands the link over separately from the macro configuration, so the macro reads it, saves it into its own config once, and renders. Nothing is written to config until that first save completes.

Paste a link starting https://app.powerbi.com/ or https://app.fabric.microsoft.com/ into the Confluence editor and the Power BI macro is inserted around it automatically.

#Worth knowing
Auto-convert on paste stores nothing in the macro configuration at first; the macro has to write the link into its own config on first render. Until that happens the configuration panel looks empty.
The macro does not set an iframe sandbox attribute, so the embedded Power BI page runs with the normal permissions of a cross-origin frame.
