Fix a blank Power BI report in Confluence
To fix a blank Power BI report in Confluence, first check what the reader sees inside the frame. A Microsoft sign-in or "no access" message means Power BI is refusing that reader, which only Power BI sharing can fix. Power BI not configured means the link is wrong. A blank frame for everyone usually means the report or link no longer exists.
#Before you start
Open the page as the affected reader, or ask them for a screenshot of the frame.
Have access to the report in Power BI, so you can check its sharing.
#Steps
If the macro says Power BI not configured, edit it and paste a link from File, Embed report in Power BI.
If the frame shows a Microsoft sign-in, ask the reader to sign in there with their work account. Secure links need it.
If it says they have no access, share the report or its workspace with them in Power BI, or give them a Power BI licence if your organisation requires one.
If the frame is blank for everyone, open the link in a new browser tab. If it fails there too, the report was moved, deleted or unpublished: copy a fresh embed link.
If only some browsers fail, check that they allow third-party cookies for Microsoft sites, which secure embeds rely on.
#What happens next
Once Power BI accepts the reader, the report appears without any change to the Confluence page. Capable never signs in to Power BI and stores no tokens, so there is nothing to reset on the Confluence side.
#If it does not work
Report frame appears but is blank, or shows a Power BI sign-in or permission message
Link was pasted into the editor, the macro appeared, but it shows the not-configured empty state
