Reset a project's Attio setup
There is no key-only disconnect. The action at the bottom of the Connection tab is all or nothing, which is the honest shape for it: a project with a key but no settings is not a working project.
#What a reset removes
The stored API key.
The record type, the matching attribute and the domain rules.
Every field on the card, and the picture attribute.
The audience and any group restriction.
Every placement, which takes the card off every issue in the project.
The project's row on the site-wide connections page.
#What it does not touch
Nothing in your Attio workspace changes. No record, object or key is altered or deleted, and a key removed here still exists in Attio until you revoke it there.
It asks first. The first press reveals a confirmation with two buttons, one to erase the setup and one to keep it. Nothing is removed until the second press.
#A few things worth knowing
After a reset the project settings page goes back to the first-time wizard, starting at Connect.
Information the app had cached about Jira itself, such as who reported an issue or a viewer's group membership, is not Attio data and is left alone.
If you are rotating a key rather than leaving Attio, paste the new key on the Connection tab instead. A reset would cost you every other setting.
