Migrate from Toolkit for Confluence

You can migrate from the Toolkit for Confluence app (by Refined) to Capable and native Confluence equivalents. There are several macros included in this app that can be migrated.


#Panels

The Refined Panel macros (refined-panel, rw-ui-textbox-macro, refined-textbox, ui-textbox, ui-text-box, divbox) are migrated to native Confluence panels.

#What the migrator does

  • Converts Refined panel/textbox macros to native Confluence panels

  • Panel content is preserved

#Support level

Full — All panel content is fully migrated to native Confluence panels.

#Steps / Stepper

The Refined Steps macros (rw-ui-steps-macro, refined-steps, ui-steps, refined-stepper) are migrated to native Confluence numbered tables.

#What the migrator does

  • Converts the step-by-step layout into a numbered table format

  • Each step's content is preserved in the table

#Support level

Full — All step content is fully migrated.

#Tabs

The Refined Tabs macros (refined-tabs, rw-ui-tabs-macro, ui-tabs) are migrated to native Confluence expand blocks.

#What the migrator does

  • Each tab is converted to a Confluence expand block

  • The tab title becomes the expand title

  • Tab content is placed inside the expand

#Support level

Full — All tab content is preserved as expand blocks.

#Expand

The Refined Expand macros (rw-ui-expand-container, refined-expands, rw-ui-expands-macro, ui-expand) are migrated to native Confluence expand blocks.

#What the migrator does

  • Converts Refined expand containers to native Confluence expands

  • Also handles nested tabs within expand containers by converting them to expands

  • Title and content are preserved

#Support level

Full — All expand content is fully migrated.

#Button

The Refined Button macros (ui-button, refined-button, rw-ui-button-macro) are migrated to Capable Button.

#What the migrator does

  • Maps button colors to Capable variants:

    • Blue becomes Default

    • Green becomes Success

    • Red becomes Destructive

    • Other colors are mapped to appropriate variants

  • Button links and labels are preserved

#Support level

Partial — Button colors and links are migrated. Size and tooltip options are not carried over.

#Page Tree

The Refined Page Tree macros (refined-pagetree, rw-pagetree-macro, rw-pagetree) are migrated to the native Confluence pagetree macro.

#What the migrator does

  • Converts the Refined page tree to a native Confluence pagetree inline extension

  • Basic page tree configuration is preserved

#Support level

Partial — Basic page tree functionality is migrated. Specific page references are not supported.

#Activity Stream

The Refined Activity Stream macros (rw-activity-macro, refined-activity, ui-activity) are migrated to the native Confluence recently-updated macro.

#What the migrator does

  • Converts the Refined activity stream to a native Confluence recently-updated macro

  • Activity display settings are preserved where possible

#Support level

Full — Activity stream content is fully migrated to the native equivalent.

#Unsupported macros

The following Refined macros are detected but cannot be migrated at this time. They will appear in the migration assistant with page counts for visibility:
