Migrate from Mosaic for Confluence

You can migrate from the Mosaic for Confluence app (by Kolekti / Adaptavist) to Capable. There are several macros included in this app that can be migrated.

#Background

The Mosaic Background macro (cfm-background) is migrated to Capable Background.

#What the migrator does

When an image is present, the macro is converted to a Capable Background macro with the image, position, and opacity settings preserved
When no image is present, the macro is converted to a native Confluence panel
Height options (wrap text, medium, large, custom) are mapped to equivalent Capable settings

#Support level

Partial — Image backgrounds are migrated. Some Mosaic-specific options (repeat, size, border radius) are not carried over.

#Example

Make content stand out

Use a background image or color to highlight important information and create visual separation.

The Mosaic Interactive Banner macro (cfm-interactive-banner) is migrated to Capable Banner.

#What the migrator does

Converts the Mosaic interactive banner to a Capable Banner macro
Banner content and layout are preserved

#Support level

Partial — Core banner functionality is migrated. Theme and opacity options are not carried over.

#Cards

The Mosaic Cards macro (cfm-cards) is migrated to Capable Cards.

#What the migrator does

Maps Mosaic card configuration to the Capable Cards format
Card content and layout are preserved

#Support level

Partial — Core card functionality is migrated. Some Mosaic-specific options (palettes, alignment) are not carried over.

#Button

The Mosaic Button macros (auibutton, auibuttongroup) are migrated to Capable Button.

Maps button type (filled, bordered, text) to Capable variant (default, secondary, ghost)
Handles both Confluence page links and external URLs
Button groups are preserved

#Support level

Partial — Button types and links are migrated. Some style options are not carried over.

Converts both cfm-footnote (inline extension) and legacy footnote (bodied extension) macros to Capable Footnote
Footnote content and references are preserved

Full — All footnote macros are fully migrated.

The Mosaic Footnotes Display macro (cfm-footnotes-display, display-footnotes) is migrated to Capable Footnotes Summary.

Converts both cfm-footnotes-display and legacy display-footnotes macros to Capable Footnotes Summary
The summary block that renders all footnotes on a page is preserved

#Support level

Full — Footnotes display macros are fully migrated.

#Progress Tracker

The Mosaic Progress Tracker macros (cfm-progress-bar-hyperlink-step, auiprogress, auiprogressstepstatic) are migrated to Capable Progress Tracker.

Collapses consecutive Mosaic hyperlink step macros into a single Capable Progress Tracker
Supports legacy progress container macros (auiprogress, auiprogressstepstatic)
Step labels, links, and ordering are preserved

#Support level

Full — All progress tracker macros are fully migrated.

The Mosaic Tabs macro (cfm-tabs-page) is migrated to native Confluence expand blocks.

Each tab is converted to a Confluence expand block
The tab title becomes the expand title

The Mosaic Alert macros (cfm-alert, mosaic-alert, alert) are migrated to native Confluence panels.

Maps alert types to Confluence panel types:
- Success alerts become success panels
- Error alerts become error panels
- Warning alerts become warning panels
- Info alerts become info panels
- Note alerts become note panels
Alert content is preserved inside the panel

Full — All alert types and content are fully migrated to native panels.

Preserves alignment settings (block-align)

Full — LaTeX content is fully migrated.
