This article will guide you through the process of creating a custom diagram template in Capable Diagrams.

Utilizing shared templates can enhance productivity by providing a consistent starting point for new diagrams. This feature allows templates to be accessible either within a specific workspace or globally across all users.

Whether for organizational standardization or efficiency in collaborative projects, understanding how to effectively create and implement these templates is essential.

Step-by-Step

Take it one step at a time.

1. Click on Capable either in the Space Sidebar, or in the Apps menu

Either open the Capable interface within the Space scope, or Global scope.

2. Click on Diagrams in the navigation bar

Here the current scope is set to the 'Product management' space.

3. This will show you all of the templates in the current scope

Here you can see the existing templates your team has created and the built-in ones.

4. Click 'Create template' in the top right

You can also click on the 'Remix' button in an existing template to start from there.

5. Choose a starting point for your template

You can choose from a blank slate, or from one of the included templates.

6. Write your diagram with a live preview of the changes

Use the diagram editor to make your diagram perfect!

7. Set the title and description of the diagram template

Give it a good name that will make it easy to find in the future.

8. Finally, click 'Save' and your diagram template will be created

This will save the diagram template.

9. All done

You will see your template shown in the list.
