# Known issues

One limitation is worth stating plainly, because it shapes how you structure boards.

## Sub-items are not supported

Workflow Hub does not work on sub-items. Sub-items have their own set of fields and cannot currently carry a workflow.

**Design the process at item level.** If your process depends on moving sub-items through steps, Workflow Hub cannot express it today.

## A few things worth knowing

* A board can still use sub-items; they simply have no workflow view.
* The parent item's workflow is unaffected by its sub-items.
* If this blocks you, tell us. Demand is what moves it up the list.
