## What happened

We upgraded our diagram rendering backend to support additional diagram types. The upgrade introduced a problem with interactive diagrams: Mermaid and PlantUML diagrams containing links.

The problem appeared when using the zoom controls on a diagram with interactive elements, and when viewing such a diagram as a thumbnail in the browser.
