# Permissions and access

Start from what you are seeing rather than from what you think is broken. Each page below names the symptom, explains why it happens, and says what to do about it.

Several of these are the product working as designed, which is worth knowing before anybody raises a ticket.

| "Page usage unavailable — Page usage needs an extra Confluence permission. A site admin can approve | The Confluence search permission comes with pending under app-managed permission enforcement and has not been approved yet.  |
| Cannot connect an EU Smartsheet account                                                             | Sign-in and every API call go to the .com endpoints; only the embed and auto-convert allowlists include the .eu addresses.   |
| App is replaced by "License Not Found" or "License expired"                                         | Licensing is enforced in production and wraps every surface. Including a macro on a public page seen by an anonymous reader. |
