**What you are seeing**

## Why it happens

Only one deploy runs per site at a time, and a stalled deploy is not marked failed on its own.

## What to do

Wait, or as an admin press Cancel on the progress panel. A separate admin "cleanup stuck deploys" action fails anything untouched for over 30 minutes.
