# Changed a page's SEO settings and the site still says "Preview matches Confluence"

**What you are seeing**

I changed a page's SEO settings and the site still says "Preview matches Confluence".

## Why it happens

The change counter is a search over page last-modified dates. Saving SEO metadata in the side panel does not change a page's last-modified date, so it is invisible to the counter.

Deploy anyway, do not trust the counter after a metadata-only edit.
