# Side panels

Selecting a row opens a side panel. Which panels appear depends on which capabilities are installed, and they are grouped so the list stays navigable.

A page's panels run from the capabilities that found something on it down to the tools that read the page itself.

It is the difference between a search that finds pages and one you can actually work through.

## The three groups

General sits at the top, the capabilities that found something in the middle, and the tools at the bottom, with the Diagrams panel opened to preview a diagram in place.

Summary, Versions, Children, Attachments, Headings and Properties. These are present in both the standalone app and the Suite.

## A few things worth knowing

* A panel from a capability you have not installed does not appear at all.
* Panels read live page data, so they are current even when the index is behind.
* The panel respects permissions exactly as the table does.
