# Add labels to many Confluence pages at once To add labels to many Confluence pages at once, run a search in Capable Search, select **Bulk Change** in the footer and tick the pages. Open the **Change N pages** menu, choose **Add labels**, type the labels separated by commas or new lines and select **Add labels**. Existing labels stay on each page. --- ## Before you start | **You need** | **Why** | | ---------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------- | | Capable Search installed | The app is part of Capable Search for Confluence and the Capable Suite. | | A wide enough window | **Bulk Change** is hidden on narrow screens such as phones. | | Edit permission on the pages | Pages you cannot edit fail and are listed. | --- ## Steps 1. Open Capable Search: select **Capable Search** in the space sidebar or the Apps menu (in the Suite, **Capable**, then **Search**). 2. Run a search that finds the pages you want to change. 3. Select **Bulk Change** in the footer under the table. 4. Tick each page you want to change. 5. Open the **Change N pages** menu and select **Add labels**. 6. In **Labels (comma or newline separated)**, type the labels, for example `marketing, q4, weekly`. 7. Select **Add labels** and wait for every page to finish. --- ## What happens next Each page gets the new labels alongside the ones it already has. Bulk Change cannot remove labels; to remove one, open the page in the side panel and edit its **Labels** row. --- ## Related ### [Bulk changes and export](https://help.gocapable.com/search/bulk-changes-and-export.html) Every bulk action. ### [Side panels](https://help.gocapable.com/search/side-panels.html) Edit labels on one page. ### [Filters and sorting](https://help.gocapable.com/search/filters-and-sorting.html) Find pages by label. --- _Label once, find forever._
