# Quality item missing from the page byline in the standalone app

**What you are seeing**

The **Quality** item does not appear in the byline of a page, in the standalone Capable Quality app.

## Why it happens

The Quality item appears on every page you can view unless one of these hides it:

| **Condition**                                         | **Where it is set**                                                                                           |
| ----------------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| You are signed in to Confluence and can view the page | Confluence page and space permissions                                                                         |
| Quality is **Visible** for the site                   | Capable global settings, **Capabilities** tab. Confluence admins only.                                        |
| The space is not set to **Never** for Quality         | Space settings, **Space Capability Settings**. **Auto** and **Always** both show the item. Space admins only. |

Earlier versions of the standalone app never showed the item, whatever the settings. That is fixed, and no setting is needed to turn it on.

## What to do

1. Make sure you are signed in and can view the page.
2. In Capable global settings, on the **Capabilities** tab, check that Quality is **Visible**. A Confluence admin can change it.
3. In the space's **Space Capability Settings**, check that Quality is **Auto** or **Always**, not **Never**. A space admin can change it.
4. Reload the page.
