Ordinary technical or product text is flagged as inappropriate language.

## Why it happens

The built-in list of roughly 300 terms is matched as whole words, and includes common words such as "crap", "damn", "anal", "cracker" and "hoe". The list cannot be edited or narrowed, and custom word lists have no screen and no effect on detection.

## What to do

Dismiss the finding on the pages affected, or lower the rule to Info. If the false positives are widespread the only remedy is to set the rule to Off.

## A few things that catch people out

* The built-in profanity list cannot be edited or narrowed, and word-boundary matching means common words such as "crap", "damn", "anal", "cracker", "hoe" and "lmao" flag ordinary technical or product text.
* Capitalization checking is a simplified heuristic that does not understand proper nouns, so headings containing names or product terms can be flagged and the auto-fix will lowercase them.
