# Issue was dismissed but the byline lozenge count did not change

**What you are seeing**

An issue was dismissed but the byline lozenge count did not change.

## Why it happens

The lozenge recalculates from the live page content and never reads the dismissal list.

## What to do

This is expected behaviour. The panel correctly moves the finding to Dismissed; the lozenge keeps counting it. Judge the page from the panel, not the lozenge.

## A few things that catch people out

* Per-page issue detail is capped at 20 matches per rule, each truncated to 120 characters, with a trailing "…and N more".
