# In the Capable Suite, the Quality byline does not appear on pages in a space

**What you are seeing**

In the Capable Suite, the Quality byline does not appear on pages in a space.

## Why it happens

Four separate gates control it: the site-wide Capabilities switch must be Visible; the space must not be set to "Never"; the space must be explicitly set to "Always" (Auto is not enough for Quality, unlike other capabilities); and the site must be on the Advanced edition. The viewer also needs page VIEW permission.

## What to do

Check them in that order: Global settings → Capable → Capabilities → Quality is Visible; Space Settings → Capable → General → Quality is set to Always (not Auto); the site is on the Advanced edition or has the confluence.quality flag enabled.
