# Dismissed a quality issue but the byline count did not change

**What you are seeing**

You dismissed a finding in the **Page Quality** panel, but the byline count did not go down.

## Why it happens

The byline leaves dismissed findings out of its count, but it works the count out when the page loads, so it updates when you reload the page.

Dismissing has no effect on five rules: **Disallowed domain links**, **Disallowed macros**, **Third-party macros**, **Stale content** and **Disallowed labels**. The panel still offers **Dismiss** for them, but the finding stays in the panel and in the count. This is a known problem.

## What to do

1. Reload the page.
2. For the five rules above, fix the page instead: remove the link, macro or label, or update the page. An admin can also change the rule on the **Rules** page.
