# Dismiss and Restore

Dismiss (trash icon) hides one finding on one page; the panel then shows "Dismissed on <date>" and records who dismissed it. "Restore all" clears the dismissal list and brings back any dismissed findings that still apply to the current page content.

## Worth knowing

Requires edit access. Dismissals survive re-indexing. They do not change the byline lozenge count.

## Worth knowing

* Dismissing an issue does not change the byline lozenge count.
* Setting a rule to Off hides its blocklist but keeps the entries saved. Re-enabling the rule silently restores the previous list.
