# Byline lozenge count and the panel's finding list disagree

**What you are seeing**

The byline lozenge count and the panel's finding list disagree.

## Why it happens

The lozenge is recalculated from the page's current content on every render and counts only the eight indexed rules plus Disallowed macros. The panel reads the stored index and additionally evaluates domain links, third-party macros, stale content and labels. On a page edited since its last index the lozenge is current and the panel is not.

## What to do

Use the panel's Refresh action, and treat the panel as the fuller picture. Expect a lag after an edit until the page is re-indexed.
