# Somebody deleted the published copy, but the source page still says Published

**What you are seeing**

Somebody deleted the published copy, but the source page still says Published.

## Why it happens

The delete-cleanup behaviour does not run. In the Suite it is switched off; the standalone Publishing app and the Approval app do not even subscribe to page-deleted events.

## What to do

Either republish the page (which recreates the copy and repairs the link), or clear the page's state with the bin icon in the byline if you no longer want it published.
