# Page keeps flipping to "Out of sync"

**What you are seeing**

A page keeps flipping to "Out of sync".

## Why it happens

Somebody is editing the published copy directly in the target space. (An edit made by the app itself within 5 minutes of its own write is recognised and does not count.).

## What to do

Edit the source page instead and republish. If people need to edit in the target space, that content should not be published content. Republishing overwrites their edits.
