# Power BI for Confluence FAQ The questions below come from support conversations and from the edge cases in the product. Each answer links to the page with the detail. --- ### Do Confluence readers need a Power BI licence to see the report? For a secure embed, yes: Power BI decides, and readers need access to the report there. For a report published with **Publish to web**, no: anyone can see it. See [Secure and public reports](https://help.gocapable.com/power-bi/secure-and-public-reports.html). ### Does the app store my Power BI credentials or data? No. The macro is a viewer. It never signs in to Power BI, never fetches report data and never stores a token. Everything in the frame comes from Microsoft. See [Three ways to point at a report](https://help.gocapable.com/power-bi/three-ways-to-point-at-a-report.html). ### Can I paste the link from my browser's address bar? Usually not. Use **File**, **Embed report** in Power BI. The macro accepts `/reportEmbed` and `/view` links only. See [Get a Power BI embed link for Confluence](https://help.gocapable.com/power-bi/get-a-power-bi-embed-link-for-confluence.html). ### Can I paste the iframe code instead of a link? Yes. The macro takes the address out of the iframe code. A bare report ID works too. See [iframe snippet paste](https://help.gocapable.com/power-bi/iframe-snippet-paste.html). ### Does it work with Microsoft Fabric? Yes. Paste the full `app.fabric.microsoft.com` embed link. A bare report ID always opens on `app.powerbi.com`. See [Embed a Microsoft Fabric report in Confluence](https://help.gocapable.com/power-bi/embed-a-microsoft-fabric-report-in-confluence.html). ### Why does my first click on the report do nothing? The first click activates the report, so scrolling the Confluence page is not captured by it. Click again to interact. See [Click to interact](https://help.gocapable.com/power-bi/click-to-interact.html). ### Why is the bottom of the report cut off? The frame does not scroll. Raise **Height** in the macro; the default is 450px. See [Resize a Power BI report in Confluence](https://help.gocapable.com/power-bi/resize-a-power-bi-report-in-confluence.html). ### Why can I not make the report wider than the page? Width is capped at the page column so the report cannot push the page sideways. Narrower widths work. See [this troubleshooting page](https://help.gocapable.com/power-bi/pixel-width-was-set-on-the-macro-but-the-report-still-fills-the-whole-column.html). ### Is Power BI part of the Capable Suite? No. Power BI for Confluence is a separate app; the Suite does not include the Power BI macro. See [Expecting Power BI in the Capable Suite and not finding the macro](https://help.gocapable.com/power-bi/expecting-power-bi-in-the-capable-suite-and-not-finding-the-macro.html). ### Do readers without a Capable licence see the report? The frame renders for unlicensed and logged-out readers. Whether the report appears inside it is up to Power BI. See [Works for readers without a Capable licence](https://help.gocapable.com/power-bi/works-for-readers-without-a-capable-licence.html). ### Will my old Power BI Connect macros keep working? Yes. Macros from the earlier Connect app keep rendering after the upgrade. Width now behaves as a cap. See [Legacy Connect macros](https://help.gocapable.com/power-bi/legacy-connect-macros.html). --- ## Related ### [Embedding Power BI in Confluence](https://help.gocapable.com/power-bi/embedding-power-bi-in-confluence.html) Put reports on pages and size them. ### [Power BI sign-in and sharing in Confluence](https://help.gocapable.com/power-bi/power-bi-sign-in-and-sharing-in-confluence.html) Links, public reports and blank frames. ### [Troubleshooting](https://help.gocapable.com/power-bi/troubleshooting.html) Every known problem. --- _Short answers, with the detail one click away._
