# Pasting a PDF link into the editor does not create a PDF embed

## Why it happens

The macro does not claim pasted links; there is no automatic conversion.

## What to do

Insert the macro from the / menu and paste the address into the PDF URL field.

Typing /pdf in the editor brings up the macro, which is what turns a link into a real embed.
