## Why it happens

Licensing is enforced in production and covers every app surface including rendered macros.

## What to do

Renew or reactivate the licence in Manage apps. Note that in the standalone PDF app the banner's "View on Marketplace" link is broken and goes nowhere useful; reach the listing from Manage apps instead.

## A few things that catch people out

* With licensing enforced, a missing or expired licence replaces the macro with a banner. In the standalone PDF app that banner's Marketplace link is broken.
* The app requests broader read scopes than the macro visibly needs (all content, search, groups) so the upgrade from the old Connect app stays eligible for in-place upgrade without fresh admin consent.
* Pasted PDF links are not automatically converted into the macro.
