# Miro sign-in and board access in Confluence

Embedding a board by its link needs no Miro connection, and Miro alone decides who sees it. Connecting your own Miro account adds the board picker, board names and a read-only view of each board's sharing, so you can check access before readers hit a sign-in screen.
