# Macro shows an empty box - no board appears

The macro shows an empty box - no board appears.

## Why it happens

The Board URL is not a miro.com address. Confluence only permits framing miro.com, so anything else is blocked silently rather than reported as an error.

## What to do

Open the macro configuration and replace the URL with a real Miro link (https://miro.com/app/board/..., /app/embed/... Or /app/live-embed/...).

## A few things that catch people out

* Because the app ships permission changes pending approval, a newly added permission degrades the feature that needs it until an admin approves it in Admin Hub. In practice this shows up as "Page usage unavailable ... A site admin can approve it in Admin Hub." on the gallery.
* A dead or revoked Miro token is reported as "Your Miro connection has expired" and treated as not connected, so the app offers Connect. A network or infrastructure failure is kept separate and shows "Miro status unavailable" - the app will not claim you are disconnected unless it knows.
* Never remove or rename a stored macro parameter: unknown keys are stripped on save, so an undeclared parameter would be silently deleted from customer pages. Every field tolerates unexpected values so a legacy macro degrades to a working board rather than a blank one.
