# Check who can open an embedded Miro board To check who can open an embedded Miro board, open the **Miro Board** macro's configuration while connected to Miro. **Who can open this board** summarises the board's sharing, and **People with access** lists people invited directly, with their role. Both are read-only: you change sharing in Miro itself. --- ## Before you start * You are connected to Miro, in a team that can see the board. See [Connect Miro to Confluence](https://help.gocapable.com/miro/connect-miro-to-confluence.html). * The macro already has a board. --- ## Steps 1. Edit the page, select the Miro macro and open its configuration. 2. Read **Who can open this board** for the board's link and team sharing. 3. Read **People with access** for direct members and their roles: **Co-owner**, **Can edit**, **Can comment** or **Can view**. 4. If readers need access, open the board in Miro and change its sharing there. --- ## What happens next Once Miro's sharing includes your readers, they see the board on the page with no change in Confluence. If the board is shared by link with anyone, readers without a Miro account can view it too. --- ## If it does not work * The sections are missing: you are not connected, or no board is selected. * The people list has no email addresses or pictures: Miro does not share them. See [this troubleshooting page](https://help.gocapable.com/miro/people-list-shows-no-email-addresses-or-avatars.html). * You expected to change sharing here: that is deliberately not offered. See [this troubleshooting page](https://help.gocapable.com/miro/there-is-no-way-to-change-board-sharing-or-invite-people-from-inside-confluence.html). --- ## Related ### [Who can open this board](https://help.gocapable.com/miro/who-can-open-this-board.html) What the sharing summary means. ### [People with access](https://help.gocapable.com/miro/people-with-access.html) Direct members and roles. ### [Readers see a Miro sign-in screen or a you don't have access message inside the frame](https://help.gocapable.com/miro/readers-see-a-miro-sign-in-screen-or-a-you-don-t-have-access-message-inside-the-frame.html) Readers see a Miro sign-in screen. --- _Check access before anyone hits a wall._
