# Formatting

The largest catalogue by a wide margin. Formatting apps tend to ship dozens of small macros, and most of them map onto either a Capable macro or a native Confluence one.

Where a native Confluence element does the job, we migrate to that rather than to a Capable macro. Fewer apps in the stack is a better outcome than more.

There are 64 recognised macros here across 13 apps: 51 convert, and 13 are reported only.

By far the biggest catalogue: backgrounds, banners, buttons, cards, footnotes, LaTeX, progress bars and trackers, Swagger, tooltips, tabs, panels and expands, drawn from Mosaic, Aura, Refined Toolkit, Handy Macros, Just Add+, two LaTeX Math apps, MacroSuite, AUI, Appfire and Vectors. Roughly half convert everything they find; the rest are explicitly partial. A significant group converts to native Confluence content rather than to a Capable macro, which is deliberate, those pages keep working after the vendor app is uninstalled.
