# Diagrams

Diagram migrations are the ones people worry about most, because a diagram is not just a macro: the drawing itself lives somewhere, usually as an attachment, and it has to be found before anything can be converted.

That is what most of this family does. The macro swap is the easy part; recovering the source drawing reliably, from apps that each store it differently, is the work.

There are 15 recognised macros here across 7 apps: 15 convert, and 0 are reported only.

The largest and most heavily exercised family. Converts draw.io, PlantUML, Mermaid and Just Add+ diagrams into Capable Diagram macros, recovering the diagram's source from the page attachment, the vendor's stored copy, or XML embedded inside a preview image. Also covers moving diagrams out of the standalone Capable Diagrams app into the suite, and is the only family with post-migration repair tools.
