# Version history A collapsible 'Version history' panel badged 'N Versions', hidden when there are none. Clicking a version loads that version's title and body into the editor as an unsaved change. It does not restore in place; saving afterwards writes a new version on top. --- ## Where you do it | **Task** | **Where** | | --------------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------- | | Insert an image or diagram from the Capable library | Editor toolbar → + → Image 'From library' or Diagram 'From library' | | See earlier versions of a document | Capable Markdown page → open the document → 'Version history' panel | --- ## Worth knowing * Version history is a staging action, not a restore, and it hides entries saved within 15 seconds of each other and never shows more than 50. --- ## Limits that apply here * Version history entry limit * Version list de-duplication window --- ## Related [Remix and Save as templateAnother part of how this works.](https://help.gocapable.com/markdown/remix-and-save-as-template.html) [Details and permissions panelsAnother part of how this works.](https://help.gocapable.com/markdown/details-and-permissions-panels.html) [How it worksThe rest.](https://help.gocapable.com/markdown/how-it-works.html) --- _How it actually behaves._
