# Status badge An inline status lozenge that readers with edit rights can click to change, chosen from a preset scheme. Use this to put a live status in a sentence, a table cell or a heading - DRAFT / REVIEW / APPROVED, ON TRACK / AT RISK / OFF TRACK, a T-shirt size, a RAG rating. It ships thirteen ready-made schemes so you do not have to invent one, and its real value is that changing the status does not require opening the page editor: anyone who can edit the page clicks the badge on the published page, picks from the list, and it saves. That makes it practical for status tables that many people keep current. It renders as a native Confluence lozenge, so it sits alongside Confluence's own status marks without looking like a foreign object. --- ## See it Every example below is a real macro on this page, not a screenshot, and each one is a configuration taken from a page somebody actually built. Open this page in the editor to see how any of them is set up. ### 3 states: MUST HAVE Inline, in a sentence: this page is COULD HAVE and reviewed quarterly. ### 3 states: MUST HAVE (2) Inline, in a sentence: this page is SHOULD HAVE and reviewed quarterly. ### 3 states: SUPPORTED Inline, in a sentence: this page is PARTIAL and reviewed quarterly. ### In a table ![A two column Confluence table of risks and scores, each score a coloured status badge, with one badge clicked open to reveal a picker listing MUST HAVE, SHOULD HAVE and COULD HAVE.](https://help.gocapable.com/images/ef1b076f-d12c-4193-af01-0dcf680418be.webp) A reader with edit rights clicks the lozenge and picks a new state from the scheme, without opening the editor. | **Risk** | **Score** | | -------- | ----------- | | Risk A | COULD HAVE | | Risk B | SHOULD HAVE | | Risk C | COULD HAVE | --- ## Settings ![The Capable macro configuration dialog for Status badge, previewing a MUST HAVE badge on the left, and on the right a status scheme preset picker, an Allow changing from the page toggle, and a reorder](https://help.gocapable.com/images/484f2c6d-1ef1-4b37-aa1e-2f362b1ba7fe.webp) The scheme is chosen here, the statuses are dragged into order, and reader editing is the toggle that makes the badge clickable. | **Setting** | **Values** | **What it changes** | | ---------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | Status scheme | Task Status / Approval / Quality / Priority / MoSCoW / Scale 1-10 / Fibonacci / T-Shirt Size / Percentage / Medals / RAG status / Sprint health / Traffic Light | A one-shot loader, not a stored setting.
