# PDF embed macro

Embed PDF files directly into Confluence pages while retaining selectable text, so users can highlight and copy content as needed. These PDFs can be navigated in multiple ways, offering different methods for moving through the document.

You can load the PDF from a URL, from a page attachment, or by uploading a file, providing flexible options for adding documents to the page.

## Slider

Navigate through the content page by page by using the directional arrows located at the top of the screen. Use these arrows to move forward or backward between pages, one page at a time.

## Scroller

Scroll through a PDF vertically, allowing the document to be navigated up and down in a continuous flow. Display a specified number of pages at one time so multiple pages are visible together while scrolling. This layout keeps the reading experience linear and lets users see several pages in sequence as they move through the file.
