# LaTeX math Renders a block mathematical equation written in LaTeX, centred on its own line in the page. When a page needs a real equation rather than a picture of one - a formula in a spec, a derivation in a research note, a bit of statistics in a report - this macro renders LaTeX with KaTeX so the maths is sharp at any zoom and stays editable as text. You write the source in a plain textarea, or switch to the Live tab for a visual equation editor if you do not want to remember the syntax. If your site has Capable AI enabled, a Generate button lets you describe the equation in words and have the LaTeX written for you. The input offers 8–96 in steps of 1; the renderer independently clamps to 8–96, and coerces a string value with parseInt (falling back to 24 if that throws). | Base size the equation is drawn at; KaTeX scales sub/superscripts from it. | | Equation colour | A brand-scheme colour from the "text" category, a custom colour if the tenant allows custom colours, or cleared (empty). | Tints the whole equation, because KaTeX draws its glyphs and rules with currentColor. Left empty, the equation follows the page/theme text colour, which is what every macro saved before this field existed does.
