Branding
Brand themes let admins define reusable colours and styling defaults for Capable formatting macros in Confluence.
A theme can include brand colours plus optional defaults such as corners, shadows, spacing, alignment, and borders.
#What does it do?
Keeps macros visually consistent across pages.
Applies a default theme to new macros, if one is set.
Lets authors switch a supported macro to another theme without rewriting content.
Shows approved brand swatches first in macro colour pickers.
Select a theme to match when generating AI content.
Editing, changing, or deleting a theme does not update existing macros. Existing pages keep the colours and styling already saved in each macro.

#How do you set it up?
Open the Capable app in Confluence.
Go to Global settings â Formatting â Brand guidelines.
Click Add theme.
Name the theme and set the five colours: Background, Text on background, Surface, Text, and Accent.
Optionally set styling defaults, or leave them on Auto.
Choose whether this should be the default theme for new macros.
Set Allow custom colours on or off, depending on whether authors can use colours outside the theme.
Click Save.

#Using a theme
Authors can open a supported macro, click Themes, preview a theme, and apply it. Only the look changes - the macro content stays the same.
You can create up to 8 themes per organisation. Only Confluence admins can create or edit them.
