# Add cards to a Confluence page To add cards to a Confluence page, insert the **Cards (Capable)** macro. Each card has a **Title**, **Description**, optional **Image** and a **Link** to a Confluence page or a web address. Select **Add card** for more, drag them into order, then set columns, colours and hover effect on the **Style** tab. --- ## Before you start * You need permission to edit the page. * Capable Formatting, or the Capable suite, must be installed on your Confluence site. * One macro holds up to 100 cards. --- ## Steps 1. Edit the page, type **/cards** and choose **Cards (Capable)**, or **Cards macro (Capable)** in the standalone app. 2. On the **Content** tab, enter the card's **Title** and **Description** and, if you like, an **Image**. 3. Set the card's **Link** to a Confluence page (start typing the page name) or a web address. 4. Select **Add card** for each extra card, and drag cards into order. 5. On the **Style** tab, choose **Columns**, **Gap**, **Hover effect**, **Show images** and **Show descriptions**, then publish. --- ## A few things that catch people out * Card colours can come from your site's brand palette, so a set of cards matches the rest of your pages. * For cards that list pages automatically, such as a page's children, use the Search Cards macro from Capable Search instead. --- ## Related ### [Cards](https://help.gocapable.com/macros/cards.html) Every Cards setting. ### [Links from macros](https://help.gocapable.com/macros/links-from-macros.html) How page links behave. ### [Generating macro content with AI](https://help.gocapable.com/macros/generating-macro-content-with-ai.html) Draft card text with AI. ### [Designing eye-catching Confluence pages](https://help.gocapable.com/macros/designing-eye-catching-confluence-pages.html) More design guides. --- _Tiles people can scan in a second._
