# Markdown files that were on issues before the app was installed never show on the global page **What you are seeing** Markdown files that were on issues before the app was installed never show on the global page. --- ## Why it happens There is no backfill and no scheduled reindex. The index is written only when an attachment is created or deleted after installation. --- ## What to do Re-upload the file (or delete and re-add it) to make the issue appear. The issue panel itself is unaffected and will always show the file. --- ## Settings involved | **Setting** | **Where** | **What it does** | | --------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------- | ---------------- | | Sort tabs | Issue view > Markdown panel > sort button | \- | | Getting started / List view | Apps > Capable Markdown > two icon buttons in the header | \- | | Project filter | Apps > Capable Markdown > project selector | \- | --- ## Limits that apply here | **Limit** | **Value** | **What happens** | | ----------------------------- | ------------ | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | Global page results per fetch | 50 issues | The Capable Markdown page loads 50 issues at a time; 'Show more' fetches the next page. | | Background job time budget | 25 seconds | The function that recalculates the Markdown index per issue must complete within 25 seconds. | | Raw HTML in Markdown | Not rendered | The viewer strips HTML and sanitises output, so HTML tags embedded in a Markdown document do not render. | --- ## Related [Edited document lost its old attachment id, and the issue history shows an attachment deleted and reEditing works by deleting the existing .md attachment and uploading a replacement.
