# PDF, AI or PSD file uploaded fine but shows 'Unsupported Format' on the page **What you are seeing** A PDF, AI or PSD file uploaded fine but shows 'Unsupported Format' on the page --- ## Why it happens The library accepts these files and stores them, but gives them the Capable logo as a placeholder thumbnail. The Image reference macro cannot display them, and the Rovo/chat tools refuse them outright. --- ## What to do Convert the file to JPG, PNG, GIF or WebP and upload that. In a gallery these files still appear as a file-type icon tile and clicking still downloads them, which is often good enough. --- ## Settings involved | **Setting** | **Where** | **What it does** | | ---------------------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------- | ---------------- | | Global settings → Capabilities | Confluence admin → Apps → Capable → Settings → Capabilities | \- | | Space settings → Capabilities | Space settings → Capable → Capabilities | \- | | Upload permission (derived, not a Capabl | Confluence space permissions | \- | --- ## Limits that apply here | **Limit** | **Value** | **What happens** | | ------------------------ | --------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | Gallery live-tail window | 24 hours | The folder listing tops up the search index with a live read of the folder's newest children, but only for items created in the last 24 hours.
