# Custom dimension sync

Creates the app's custom dimensions inside your GA4 property in one click, so extra report filters become available.

## How it works

"Sync dimensions" creates only the dimensions that are missing. It never renames or rescopes anything you have already set up yourself, and it is safe to run repeatedly. A status table shows OK, "Optional, not synced" or "Needs setup" for each one.

## Worth knowing

* Disconnecting Google does not stop data collection. It only stops reporting and the stream, secret and dimension management.
* The custom dimension sync uses 14 of GA4's 50 event-scoped custom dimension slots. A property already near the limit will see individual creates fail.
