# Configuration without account connection

Google Analytics for Confluence can also be used for tracking Confluence data on Google Analytics only. This doesn't require connecting to a Google Analytics account. 

ℹ️

Without an active connection, data will only be visible directly on your Google Analytics account and not on your Confluence instance.

Configuration

* Set if you are using GA4

* Fill in your Tracking Id / Measurement Id

* If you are using GA4, additionally enter your Measurement API Secret

* Save your changes
* To hide the Google Analytics links, tick the “Hide Google Analytics pages” box
