# Find Confluence pages that use GitHub files

To find Confluence pages that use GitHub files, open the **Capable** app from Confluence's apps menu and choose **Github**, then **All files**. Every page with a Github file macro is listed with its space and repository. Use the file-type entries on the left, or the Capable Search filters, to narrow it to one repository, organisation or type.

## Before you start

* You can only see pages you have permission to view.
* A page appears once Confluence has indexed it, which can take a few minutes after it is published.

## Steps

1. Open the **Capable** app from the Confluence apps menu.
2. Choose **Github** in the list of capabilities.
3. Select **All files** to list every page with GitHub files.
4. To narrow by type, choose an entry under **Browse**, such as **Markdown**, **Diagram** or **Code**.
5. Select a row to see the page's files in the panel on the right, and open the page from there.

## What happens next

The list reads Confluence's own index of your pages. It never contacts GitHub, so it is quick and works without a GitHub connection. On a single page, the page byline shows the same thing: it counts the files, such as **2 files**, and opens a list of them.
