# Cannot find a public repository I do not belong to in the picker

**What you are seeing**

I cannot find a public repository I do not belong to in the picker.

## Why it happens

Public repositories you are not a member of appear only through search, and only on the first page of results. Paging past page 1 shows only your own repositories.

## What to do

Type a more specific search term so the repository appears on page 1, or paste the file's GitHub URL directly into the search box.
